History

Wire Rope Corporation of the Philippines (WRCP) was established in 1960 under a joint venture project of ATLANTIC GULF AND PACIFIC (AG&P) COMPANY OF MANILA, INC. and BRITISH ROPES, LTD. (now known as BRIDON-BEKAERT THE ROPES GROUP) of Doncaster, England, U.K. It started manufacturing wire ropes in the Philippines in November 1963.

During the initial stage of operation, WRCP’s manufacturing was under the supervision of British Technical Experts sent by Bridon International Ltd., of United Kingdom.
